American Christian University is the educational branch of Amid World Mission, former Missionary Association, Integration and Discipleship-AMID. Her history goes back to the decade of 80's, when AMID Missio-Theological Seminary-SEAMID started in the city of Iguacu Falls, Brazil. SEAMID's objectives was to educate and to send students as missionaries to the fields where Amid World Mission was reaching out, after their graduation.

Motivated by the growth of Amid Word Mission, today spread throughout the five continents, SEAMID changed from a teological school into a large insitution that offer degrees in many different fields in order to supply the needs and respond to the educational challenges of the new missionary fields.
